Steelton Police said in a press release they responded to the area of Locust Street at Front Street for a reported autmobile crash. Police say the driver was identified as Deshaun Scott. Scott allegedly told police he was in the parking lot when someone jumped in his vehicle and attempted to carjack him with a gun.
Officers report locating a second person identified as Tejal Matai Beamer who came back to the scene to recover his gold teeth. After interviewing all parties police say they were able to determine this was a drug delivery that had gone awry. Officers reportedly found that Mr. Beamer did sell a controlled substance to Scott and was paid with fake money.
Scott attempted to escape crashing into a pole and flower stand. Beamer was charged with delivery of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia. Scott was charged with false reports to police, reckless driving and accidents involving property.
