Police in Manheim Township say they arrested two people follow a shooting incident last night around 6:33 p.m., Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in the 600 block McGrann Boulevard in Manheim Township. Authorities say they were dispatched to the above location for a report of an assault involving a male.
Officers say they spoke spoke with 23 year old Joseph Sergei Green, and 24 year old Amanda Mirea Perez-Ayala, both of Lancaster.
Investigators say determined that Green and Perez-Ayala provided false information to police and the reported assault involving the male, whom they both knew, never occurred. Officers say they learned that Green and Perez-Ayala planned to lock the male in Perez-Ayala’s apartment until he gave them marijuana or money. The male fled the apartment and Green allegedly gave chase.
Authorities say Green then shot the male in the back using a 9mm pistol.
The male victim was taken to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Green and Perez-Ayala were both arrested, processed, and taken to Central Arraignment.
Green was charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, Possessing Instruments of a Crime, and False Reports to Law Enforcement. Perez-Ayala was charged with Robbery, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering Another Person, and False Reports to Law Enforcement. Their bail was set at $200,000.00 which they could not post. Both were taken to Lancaster County Prison, where they remain at this time.
