Eastern Adams Regional Police announce capture of suspect in missing person investigation in Coatesville, Chester County
Eastern Adams Regional Police report on March 9, 2018 a New Oxford Borough 13-year-old female was lured to run away from home from a 33-year-old male who identified himself on “Teen Chat” as a 15-year-old male. The male allegedly picked up the victim in New Oxford and drove her to his residence. The male was identified by the victim only as, “Victor.”
Police say the male manipulated the victim into taking drugs and engaging in sexual contact with him.
Several days later on March 13, 2018, police say the victim was able to leave the residence and be pick up by a relative at the local mall.
Eastern Adams Regional Police Department in cooperation with other law enforcement agencies began an extensive investigation led by officers Larry Kitzmiller and Douglas Fishel.
April 19, 2018, Officers Kitzmiller and Fishel, along with the victim, returned to Parkesburg, PA in Chester County to try and locate the residence of the suspect. This led officers to Coatesville, PA in Chester County.
Once in Coatesville, the victim identified the suspect’s vehicle on the street where the suspect lives. The vehicle was a maroon 2004 Dodge Ram 1500. Officers Kitzmiller and Fishel ran the vehicle for identification and it came back to a person with the first name Victor.
April 21, 2018, Kitzmiller and Fishel, along with Officers Reach and Carter from the Coatesville Police Department, executed an arrest warrant for Victor.
At approximately 06:15 hours, the officers set up surveillance of the suspect’s residence to await his departure from his residence. At 07:51 hours, the suspect exited his residence and drove away in his vehicle. At 07:55 hours, the officers conducted a felony car stop at the intersection of North 1st Street and Lincoln Highway.
Police say taken into custody without incident was Victor Priego, a 33 year old male, of 116 East Chestnut Street, Coatesville, PA. The suspect is charged with numerous felonies for sexual assault, unlawful contact with minors, Indecent assault under 16-years of age, interference with custody, corruption of minors, and criminal use of communication facility.
