Lancaster, PA

Manheim Township Police say they arrested Scott P. Elias, 48 of Lancaster, after  he was stopped traffic stop for having no headlights illuminated at night.  Authorities said Elias exhibited signs of impairment and officers attempted to arrest him for DUI shortly after midnight November 6, 2018 in the 1800 block of Lititz Pike.

Police say when officers attempted to handcuff Elias, he pulled away from them, grabbed onto one of the officers, and shoved another one.  Elias was subsequently taken into physical custody without further incident.  Police alleged chemical testing yielded a BAC of 0.086% and they’ve filed a the following criminal charges as a result of this incident against Elias:

(1) Count DUI – General Impairment
(1) Count DUI – BAC 0.08-0.10%
(1) count Resisting Arrest

Elias has no known previous contacts with police.
