Brandon Vaughn Sweitzer of Elizabethtown was found guilty of Rape Unconscious Victim and Sexual Assault late Friday evening in York County Court of Common Pleas prosecutors say occurred on or about September 17, 2016.
Following a week long trial and hours of deliberation, 30 year old Brandon Sweitzer was convicted of Rape Unconscious Victim and Sexual Assault.
Following the verdict Judge Snyder remanded Sweitzer to the York County Prison pending sentencing scheduled for April 25, 2019.
York County District Attorney David W. Sunday Jr released a statement this morning saying, “I applaud the efforts of Detective Romine of the Newberry Township Police Department and Deputy Prosecutor Teresa Jauregui” in securing the conviction.
While out on bail for this case Sweitzer was arrested for Harassment – Committed, Repeatedly and Inconvenient Hours and Stalking in June of 2017. The Stalking charge was dismissed in District Court and the remaining charge remains unresolved.
Sweitzer was put into an Accelerated Rehabilitation Program following an arrest in 2011 for Driving Under the Influence.
