New Cumberland, PA
The Fairview Township Police Department arrested 37-year old Timothy G. Leckrone of Bridge View Road, Stewartstown following a traffic stop in the 300 block of Lewisberry Road, New Cumberland on July 10, 2019, at 10:53 pm. Police say Leckrone was stopped for driving erratically. While speaking to Leckrone, police alleged smelling a strong odor of burned marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. During the conversation authorities say Leckrone exhibited numerous signs of being under the influence of something.
Following field sobriety testing, Leckrone displayed major signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested for DUI according to police. Authorities, also alleged Leckrone was also found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana as well as drug paraphernalia. Leckrone was transported to the York County Booking Center for a blood test and arrest processing.
Later, police say, the blood test confirmed the presence of an impermissible level of THC, the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis, in his system.
Leckrone was arraigned in York County Court of Common Pleas Judge Michael E. Bortner on October 18, 2019.
