Police in Carlisle looking for alleged equipment thief, possible connection to York County

Carlisle, PA

Carlisle Police say they  are investigating two retail thefts that occurred at Lowe’s, 851 E. High Street one on  January 27, 2019 and another on January 30, 2019. 

Authorities say a white male actor, pictured here, selected multiple DeWalt 20V cordless power tools as well as Dyson DC10 vacuums. The value of the items taken during the two retail thefts totaled $3,381 on January 27, 2019. According to police the suspect was seen by witnesses loading the stolen items into an older Buick station wagon, pictured above, which displayed a Pennsylvania registration plate stolen out of Spring Garden Township, York County.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was not described and that plate was later recovered in Silver Spring Township, Cumberland County, later in the day on 1/27.

On January 30, 2019 the same man loaded the stolen merchandise into a silver Toyota minivan which also displayed a stolen Pennsylvania registration plate, stolen out of Hanover Borough, York County,  the driver in this incident also was not described, police say.

Carlisle Police are seeking the identity of the white male suspect in the photo. It appears the suspect has a large black and gray tattoo on his left hand. The actor was wearing a gray Fox Racing hat and green New Balance sneakers during the thefts.
