The Northeastern Regional Police Department, today February 4, 2019, announced the retirement of long time Detective Brian O’Melko.

The statement reads in full:

The Northeastern Regional Police Department would like to announce the retirement of Det. Brian O’Melko. In January of 1988 Brian O’Melko was hired as a full time Police Officer of the Northeastern Regional Police Department, serving East Manchester Township, Manchester Borough and Mt. Wolf Borough.

In 1997 Brian O’Melko was promoted to Detective and that was the start of the criminal investigation’s division of the Northeastern Regional Police Department.

Det O’Melko is completing 30 years of service as a Police Officer and 21 years as a Detective. During his career he has investigated and made arrests on multiple homicides, theft and burglary rings, and other high-profile cases.

Det. O’Melko’ s experience, and positive attitude will be missed, and the members of the Northeastern Regional Police Department wish Brian a long and well-deserved retirement.
