Update: Fire in York, no injuries, $150,000 in damage, 4 homes impacted

York, PA

UPDATE February 4, 2019 9:13AM

York fire officials say  the fire started at  232 Chestnut Street and extended into 230 and 234. 236 Chestnut Street also sustained damage to siding of house due to radiant heat.

Officials report the cause of fire remains under investigation and no injuries were reported.

6 adults were displaced as a result of the incident. One dog has not been accounted for at this time. Red Cross Greater Pennsylvania on scene assisting displaced residents and providing canteen services for firefighters.

Damage estimated to be $150,000.

 

The York City Fire Department says they have crews on the scene of building fire in the 200 block of Chestnut Street and are asking residents to avoid the area. York Fire Department was called to the scene just after 11pm, February 3, 2019.

There is no word on injuries at this time.
