Fairview Township Police arrest 21 year old woman for driving high, test returns positive for THC

New Cumberland, PA

The Fairview Township Police Department says they arrested 21-year old Michelle S. Terry of Elder Trail, New Cumberland following a traffic violation on Ross Avenue near Miramar Street, New Cumberland on January 26, 2019. 

Upon speaking with the driver, the officer reported smelling  marijuana coming from the car and observed signs that Terry was under the influence of something. 

Police say the officer then administered a series of sobriety tests to Terry and observed obvious signs that she was under the influence of marijuana. Terry was arrested and transported to the York County Booking Center for a blood test and arrest processing.  The blood test has since confirmed there was an impermissible level of THC in her system.
