Domestic violence incident leads to felon arrested for gun possession in York

York, PA

Police in York City say 44 year old Jorge Rivera had an argument with his girlfriend which turned physical.  During this fight Rivera injured the victim and threatened her two preteen children according to a complaint. 

Police say a gun was found in the residence that belonging to Rivera.  He has prior felony charges and is prohibited from possessing a firearm.  

Rivera also had 7 summary arrest warrants as well as a bench warrant for his arrest at the time of the encounter with police.
