Mount Joy Police in Lancaster County say they’ve filed a criminal complaint against Alexander Thomas Beattie, aged 30 of Mount Joy, alleging the crimes of Home Improvement Fraud and Theft by Deception.
According to police a resident in the 000 block of South Broad Street reported paying Beattiea $4,000 down payment for contracted roofing job. Despite receiving the down payment, Beattie never completed any work authorities say.
Beattie has been summoned into District Court for a preliminary hearing.
Beattie faces a preliminary hearing on similar charges filed by Lititz Borough Police February 4, 2019 before District Court Judge Edward A. Tobin.
The defendant was bound over to the Court of Common Pleas in York County in, yet, a third case for similar charges. He is expected to be arraigned before Judge Gregory M. Snyder on March 1, 2019 at 9:00AM
