Aggravated Cruelty to Animals; York jury finds Earl Carl Allen guilty in death of 9 year old, 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier
York, PA

Earl Carl Allen, 53, was found guilty this afternoon of Aggravated Cruelty to Animals – Causing Serious Bodily Injury or Death and Cruelty to Animals. It took a York County Court of Common Pleas jury  less than an hour to deliver a guilty verdict in the death of Leo, a 9-year-old, 5 pound Yorkshire Terrier. Allen is scheduled to be sentenced on January 29, 2020 by York County Court of Common Pleas Judge Bortner.

District Attorney Dave Sunday said, “I would like to thank the Southern Regional Police Department – York County and Senior Deputy Prosecutor Justin Roberts for an outstanding investigation and prosecution.”
