Authorities in Susquehanna Township say they’ve issued a warrant for the arrest of Andre Lamont Smith, Jr for an alleged rape as well as charges of strangulation, aggravated assault and criminal mischief.

Police say On November 4, 2018, at approximately 2:45 PM, the Susquehanna Township Police were dispatched to the 3700 block of Walnut Street for a report of domestic violence. Officers say they ascertained that Andre Lamont Smith Jr., had just assaulted a female companion and then fled the area. Officers were unsuccessful in finding smith following a search.

The 20 year old Smith was previously arrested by Susquehanna Township Police in 2017 on charges of Susquehanna Township Police Dept robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery in 2017. That case remains pending following continuances and an order to change lawyers for Smith back in September of this year.
