Camp Hill, PA
A woman has been taken into custody after authorities say she was found with contraband drugs at a prison. Officers say they searched the woman on Saturday at SCI Camp Hill and seized suspected amphetamines.
According to the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections, around 11:50 a.m. Saturday, an officer at the state prison at Camp Hill was performing a random K9 air scan of visitors in the processing area when they came across a woman who appeared to be nervous and was almost crying.
The dog showed interest, promoting a criminal investigator to interview her. Prison officials say she admitted to having contraband drugs down the front of her pants.
The confiscated drugs weighted 31.7 grams and were field-tested positive for amphetamines, according to investigators.
The driver of a car, along with several inmates, were questioned as part of an investigation.
