A local man racked up a raft of criminal charges according to police who say they were investigating a homicide when shots rang out.
On December 5, 2018, at 6PM, Harrisburg Police say officers were on the 1900 block of Bellevue Road working a homicide investigation when multiple gunshots rang out in the area of the 1800 block of Chestnut Street. Officers say they also heard a vehicle revving its engine in the same direction.
Authorities say officers as ran towards Chestnut, a white four-door sedan turned down 19th Street. They believed the vehicle was involved in the shooting. About the same time, a resident from the 1800 block of Chestnut Street called 911 to report that her residence had been shot multiple times.
Police say the vehicle crashed a short distance later and two males ran from the vehicle on foot. The driver ran towards the scene of the homicide on the 1900 block of Bellevue Road and was detained. The passenger fled in a different direction was not apprehended. The driver was identified as Christopher Conway. Authorities say they recovered a gun in the vehicle.

Possession of Firearm Prohibited
Firearms not to be carried w/o license
Discharge of firearm into occupied structure
Driving W/O a license
Duties at a Stop Sign
Recklessly Endangering Another Person (x3)
Accident Damage to Unattended Vehicle or Property (x4)
