Police say they arrested Danielle Charelle Raymond, 31, of Boland Ave in Hanover Township after the vehicle she was a passenger in was stopped for an equipment violation.
Authorities say as officer’s spoke with the occupants of the vehicle, Raymond began shouting at police. Police say they were as they verifying the vehicle’s operator identification, Raymond exited the vehicle and threw two large wads of paper on the ground and failed to comply with officer’s requests to return to vehicle and began walking away.
Officers say Raymond began shouting boisterously shouting vulgarities at police and repeated requests to return the vehicle at which point police told Raymond she was under arrest resulting in Raymond resisting and struggling with officers until a taser was effectively utilized and Raymond was taken into custody. Once in custody, police say Raymond spit at officers and continued her disorderly behavior and tirade of vulgarities.
Raymond was arraigned and lodged at Luzerne County Correctional Facility where bail was set at $25,000 cash.
Raymond was charged in 2009 with summary “defined and prohibited” and found not guilty of that charge in 2012. She has no other known criminal history.
