Video: Governor Tom Wolf calls for minimum wage to be increased in Pennsylvania

Harrisburg, PA

Pennsylvania’s governor Tom Wolf, today, called for an increase to the state’s minimum wage. Wolf released a statement today, saying:

Today I proposed my plan to raise Pennsylvania’s minimum wage to $12 an hour, boosting pay for one million PA workers.Our minimum wage has been stuck at $7.25 an hour since 2009 and too many hardworking people are struggling to get by. Tell your legislator it’s time to raise the minimum wage in Pennsylvania.

Wolf also submitted a proposal to the legislature to increase the minimum wage increasing the minimum wage fifty cents a year through 2025 at which point the minimum wage would increase tied to the rate of inflation.
