Pennsylvania Supreme Court refuses to hear Graham Spanier’s appeal

Harrisburg, PA

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court, today, refused to hear the appeal of his conviction and sentencing for failing to report alleged child abuse in the Jerry Sandusky.

The court order was unanimous saying, “PER CURIAM AND NOW, this 21st day of February, 2019, the Petition for Allowance of Appeal is DENIED.”

All state appeals for the South African-born American sociologist and college administrator who served as the 16th president o have been exhausted. The case now returns to the Dauphin County Court of Common Pleas where on June 2, 2017, Spanier was sentenced to two months jail and two months house arrest.
