UPDATE FOUND SAFE: Pennsylvania State Police issue Missing Endangered Person’s alert for 77 year old Elk County woman

UPDATE 8/23/19 1:54 PM; Pennsylvania State Police report the MEP has been canceled and Hopwood has been found safe

Pennsylvania State Police Emporium is searching for Norma Joyce Hopwood, 77. Police say she is operating a 2010 dark blue Chevrolet Cobalt with a chrome grill bearing PA registration BILL369. Hopwood is 5’4″, 150 lbs, with salt/pepper hair, brown eyes, and glasses. She is wearing a blue t-shirt, tan pants, and blue WalMart apron.

Authorities say Hopwood was last seen on August 22, 2019, at approximately 7AM near WalMart, 1102 Million Dollar Highway, Jay Township, Elk County.

Hopwood was seen heading north on Route 255 toward Saint Marys.

Police believe this person may be at special risk of harm or injury and may be confused. Anyone with information on Hopwood should contact police immediately by calling 911.
