Wright Township Police arrest for Theron Hausman for Driving Under the Influence

Mountain Top, PA

The Wright Township Police Department say they arrested Theron Hausman, 37, of Wright Township. Police allege Hausman pulled into the parking lot of McDonalds after the business was closed, committed several traffic violations, and was subsequently stopped by police on January 19, 2019.

Authorities allege Hausman showed signs of intoxication and was taken to Geisinger WV for blood alcohol concentration (BAC) testing.

Police say the recently receive results show Hausman had a BAC of 0.243% at the time he was stopped. The State of Pennsylvania prohibits the operation of a motor vehicle by a driver with .08 percent or above blood alcohol concentration (BAC). The .08 BAC limit is the standard measurement used across the United States for the “impaired” driver. Hausman was charged with two counts of DUI alcohol, Careless Driving, and Restraint Systems.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for March 25, 2019.
