Wilkes-Barre Police arrest man for DUI, forgery, contact ICE

Wilkes-Barre, PA

Wilkes-Barre Police say they  responded to a report of a three car crash on March 28, 2019, at about 2:46AM.

The suspect, 26 year old Erick Alfaro of Plains Township, was observed crawling out of his vehicle and suspected to be intoxicated.

Police say Alfaro was transported to a medical facility for his injuries and blood alcohol tests were conducted.

Authorities say he was found to be in possession of fraudulent social security card. Immigration and Customs Enforcement were contacted.

He was taken to Luzerne County Correctional Facility and held for arraignment and remains jailed unable to post $2,500 bond.

In this case Alfaro is charged with:

F2 Forgery – Unauthorized Act In Writing- 2 counts
Tamper With Public Record/Information- 1 count
DUI: Gen Imp/Inc of Driving Safely – 1st Off
