West Wyoming Police and the Department of Public Works (DPW) in the borough teamed up this morning, January 18, 2019, say theyresponded to the area of Washington and Watson Avenues for a report of a possible kitten in a storm drain.
Arriving on scene they say police say they heard a cat meowing from inside the storm drain.
Authorities say DPW arrived on scene and went down into the storm drain using laser was used to coax the cat down the pipe and to the basin of the drain where it was able to be reached and rescued.
The cat took off heading up Washington Ave. towards Shoemaker Ave.
If anyone is missing a few years old gray cat with some black markings, it will be in this area.
