Sugarloaf Township Police: Suspicious car leads to drug and warrant arrests for couple

Sybertsville, PA

On Wednesday, March 13, 2019, at 3:21pm Sugarloaf Township Police officers say they were on patrol in the Forest Hill Inn parking lot. While on patrol the officers say they observed a vehicle parked in a suspicious manner and ran a check on the vehicle’s registration. According to police they learned the vehicle was registered to a Jaime Brownlie(36) of White Haven. Officers also learned Brownlie had warrants out for her arrest for distributing narcotics in a prison. 

Through the officer’s investigation they allege discovering Brownlie was staying in one of the motel rooms. Officers knocked on the motel room door and were met by Joseph Macri(43) of White Haven. Police say when Macri opened the door Officers observed Brownlie sitting on the bed and entered the room and took her into custody without incident.

While removing Brownlie from the room officers alleged they observed, in plain view, several pieces of drug paraphernalia.

Brownlie and Macri face narcotic related charges. Brownlie was transported and lodged at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility on her warrants.
