Michigan woman wanted by police for cashing bad checks across Northeast Pennsylvania and Lehigh Valley

The Jim Thorpe Police Department has an active arrest warrant for Amanda Marie Dranginis, 33 of Michigan. Dranginis is charged with offenses that occurred between November 4 – November 6, 2019. Authorities say Dranginis cashed two checks that were later found to be fraudulent and attempted to cash two other fraudulent checks from the Mauch Chunk Trust Company and Jim Thorpe Neighborhood banks in Jim Thorpe. Police say Dranginis has been using a bad address in Palmerton, PA

Dranginis is charged with:
2 counts of Forgery – Felony 2
2 counts of Criminal Attempt at Forgery – Felony 2
2 counts of Theft by Unlawful Taking – Misdemeanor 1
2 counts of Receiving Stolen Property – Misdemeanor 1
1 count Conspiracy to Receive stolen Property – Misdemeanor 1

Dranginis was last seen as a passenger in a black Nissan Rogue SUV police say.

According to authorities Dranginis has cashed other fraudulent checks in other parts of Carbon County, Monroe, Schuylkill, Northampton and Lehigh Counties. Police are advising local banks to lookout for this person.
