Shooting in Wilkes-Barre overnight leaves 2 men injured
A joint narcotics operation was conducted on September 26, 2019, with the Pa Office of Attorney General/BNI Region 8 office, Luzerne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, Hanover Township Narcotics Unit along with the Pa Attorney Generals SOG (Special Operations Group) Tactical Unit.
Search Warrants were served at 9:00 am at two locations, Barr Lane and Lee Park Ave., Hanover Township by Tactical officers from the Pa Attorney Generals SOG Unit and Narcotics Officers from the Luzerne County Drug Task Force. Two additional residences were searched on Lee Park Avenue where a stolen handgun and body armor was recovered. Crack cocaine, digital scale, U.S. Currency ($4,908.00), stolen handgun, body armor and a vehicle were seized during the operation.
Recovered within the seized currency was prerecorded buy money that was used in narcotics operations when purchases of crack cocaine were made in Hanover Township.
All subjects were arraigned before District 11-2-03 Judge, J. Halesey. The subjects, Cottle, Breeland and Link were transported to the Luzerne County Prison after failing to post $125,000.00 straight cash bail. Allen Brady’s bail was set at $5,000.00 10% and he was also transported to the Luzerne County Prison.
Hanover Township Police K-9 Rok was utilized in the search of narcotics and currency during today’s operation.
Investigation is ongoing and additional felony arrests will be made in this investigation.
