Major drug bust early this morning in Hanover Township, one of two raids

Hanover, PA

This morning, February 21, 2019,  authorities say they conducted A joint operation led to the seizure of over $60,000.00 worth of crystal methamphetamine, marijuana and Fentanyl.  At 6:35 am hours, members of the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force and the Hanover Township Narcotics Unit served a Search Warrant in the 500 block of Stoney Ridge Apartment Complex (formerly Hanover Village Apartments).

Narcotics officers recovered 1.8 pounds of crystal meth, 55 grams of Fentanyl, 40 packets of Fentanyl, 1.2 pounds of marijuana, $1,088.00 cash, cell phones, digital scales, Point Blank body armor vest and packaging materials used to distribute controlled substances.

Narcotics officers conducted operations that led to the purchases of Fentanyl in Hanover Township and Wilkes-Barre Township.

The subjects were taken into custody during the serving of the search warrant.

Charged today in this incident:

Edna Jannette Jimemeza-Davila 50 years old of Stoney Ridge Apartment Complex

Possess with the Intent to Deliver methamphetamine, marijuana and Fentanyl (3 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance, methamphetamine, marijuana and Fentanyl (3 counts)
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

The subject was arraigned before District Judge J. Halesey and bail was set at $400,000.00 straight cash. The subject was transported to the Luzerne County Prison.

Yamel Miguel Flores- Ortiz 20 years old of Stoney Ridge Apartment Complex

Delivery of a Controlled substance, Fetanyl (3 counts)
Possess with the Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl (4 counts)
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Fentanyl (4 counts)
Criminal Use of a Communication Facility (3 counts)

The subject was arraigned before District Judge J. Halesey and bail was set at $100,000.00 straight cash. The subject was transported to the Luzerne County Prison.
