Williamsport, PA

Deputies and other members of the United States Marshall’s Fugitive Task Force Apprehended George Minnick following a brief vehicle pursuit in Williamsport according to the Lycoming County Sheriff’s Office. Minnick was wanted by the Penn College Police Department and the Lycoming County Narcotics Enforcement Unit for multiple counts of Possession with Intent to Deliver Narcotics.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle, Ashley Stevens, was also taken into custody and individuals are currently incarcerated in the Lycoming County Prison unable to post bail of $125,000. Minnick was charged in the current case in August.

The 37 year old Minnick’s criminal history includes 13 criminal cases since 2003.

May 15, 2003 Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property and other charges, sentence unavailable, plea agreement, case remains open following failure to pay fines and costs. Several bench warrants issued and recalled.

October 7, 2003 Theft Of Services-Acquisition Of Services charges dropped after satisfaction agreement

December 13, 2003 Possession of Marijuana and Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia plea deal, one charge dropped, case remains open following failure to pay fines and costs with contempt proceedings began

January 3, 2004  arrest with 10 charges

4 counts Manuf/Del/Poss/W Int Manuf Or Del

2 counts Criminal Use Of Communication Facility 

2 counts Possession of a Controlled Substance

2 counts Possession of Marijuana and Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia

In this case all but two charges of Manuf/Del/Poss/W Int Manuf Or Del were dismissed in a plea deal in which Minnick was sentenced to 2 to 4 years in prison.

April 16, 2005 arrested Manuf/Del/Poss/W Int Manuf Or Del  in Philadelphia, case dismissed in plea agreement 

February 2, 2008 arrested by Pennsylvania State Police for  count each Manuf/Del/Poss/W Int Manuf Or Del and Possession of a Controlled Substance, in plea agreement one charge dropped and sentenced to 4 to 12 months on the Possession of a Controlled Substance charge.

September 22, 2011 arrested in Williamsport for one count Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use and one count Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. One charge dropped and sentenced to 2-6 months for Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and  6 months probation.

December 28, 2011 arrested in Williamsport for one count Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use and one count Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia. In a plea agreement one charge dropped sentenced to one year probation for Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia.

April 1, 2012 arrested in Williamsport arrested for Driving while Suspended or Revoked, and one count each Use/Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia and Possession of a Controlled Substance. Poession charge is dropped in plea agreement and sentenced to 60 days in jail.

September 6, 2012 arrested in Williamsport on 3 counts Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, one count Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use, and one count Improper Sunscreening. In plea agreement all but one charge is dropped and Minnick sentenced for one count Manufacture, Delivery, or Possession With Intent to Manufacture or Deliver for two to four years to serve consecutively with two earlier cases.

May 28, 2016 arrested by Williamsport Police for Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use and Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia. In plea agreement Minnick to pay fines for possession charge. Fines remain unpaid.

July 18, 2016 arrested by Williamsport Police for Marijuana-Small Amt Personal Use and Use/Poss Of Drug Paraphernalia. Pleads guilty to both charges and sentenced to 15 to 30 days.
