Luzerne County Woman Sentenced To 37 Months’ Imprisonment For Heroin Trafficking

Scranton, PA

The United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania announced that Angela Haggerty, age 44, of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, was sentenced on September 25, 2019, by U.S. District Court Judge Robert D. Mariani to 37 months’ imprisonment followed by three years’ supervised release, for participating in a heroin trafficking conspiracy that operated in Hazleton and other areas of Luzerne County.

According to United States Attorney David J. Freed, Haggerty previously pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute more than 700 grams of heroin between February 2016 and January 2017 (700 grams is equivalent to approximately 28,000 individual doses of heroin).
