Kingston Police, with help from Scranton and State Police, clears school after bomb threat

Kingston, PA

Police in Kingston say today,  October 17, 2019, at 5:45PM, they responded to a possible bomb threat at the Wyoming Valley West Middle School, 201 Chester Street, in Kingston. Upon arrival on scene, the Kingston Police secured the premise and requested K-9 assistance from the Scranton Police Department, as well as the Pennsylvania State Police.

Police say the property was checked and no credible evidence of a bomb or any subsequent threat was found.

Wyoming Valley West Officials were advised of the outcome and will be releasing further information in the near future.
