Indiana warrants, hypodermic in Wilkes-Barre Township, 2 arrested

Wilkes-Barre, PA

Wilkes-Barre Township Police say they were called to check the welfare of two people in Gabe’s Parking Lot, East End Centre in the township.

Police arrested Joseph Beach, 27, of Hunlock Creek, and Shelly Miller, 25, no known address, after police were summoned to the parking lot of Gabe’s to check on their welfare, as they were reportedly both inside a Hyundai, unresponsive.

When officer Chris Ward. arrived he says the couple were alert Police say they found empty suspected heroin packets were found in addition to a hypodermic needle.

Both individuals were taken into custody for having outstanding arrest warrants out of the Indiana according to authorities.

They were charged with arrest prior to requisition and detained at the Luzerne County Correctional Facility.
