Hanover Township Police arrest Christopher Whitmore on drug charges

Hanover, PA

 

A joint narcotics operation was conducted with the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Drug Task Force, Hanover Township Narcotics Unit and the Forty Fort Police Department that led to a search warrant and arrest of a subject in Forty Fort. The search warrant was served at about 7:00 am hours, on September 5, 2019, on Welles Street, and Christopher Whitmore, 45 years old, was arrested.

Authorities say they recovered found marijuana in the home, $1,103.00 in currency, large amount of packaging materials, Century Arms 9mm handgun and digital scale. Police alleged Whitmore had been selling marijuana in numerous municipalities in Luzerne County.

Whitmore was arraigned before District Judge Barilla and bail was set at $25,000.00 straight cash.

Poss with the Intent to Deliver Sch l Controlled Substance, Marihuana
Possession of a Controlled Substance, Marihuana
Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Police say they delayed releasing information to protect ongoing investigations.
