Hanover Township Police arrest 22 year old Javon Peterson after allegedly fleeing police

Hanover, PA

Police in Hanover Township say on August 12, 2019, around 10pm 22 year old, Javon Isaac Peterson, Plains Township fled from police during an Aggressive Driving Traffic Detail.

Police say they observed Peterson operating a 2007 Audio sedan in a reckless manner to avoid being identified. Peterson’s vehicle was later located abandon in the area of the South Main Street, Roundabout police allege.

As a result of the investigation into the incident, Misdemeanor charges for Fleeing and Eluding, False reports and several summary traffic violations were filed with District Magistrate Joseph Halesey. A preliminary hearing scheduled date is pending at the Luzerne County Central Court, Wilkes-Barre.
