Authorities in Manheim Township say they’ve filed charges against a New Holland woman following a traffic stop at 7:59 p.m., Monday, November 19, 2018, Manheim Pike at Route 283 East in Manheim Township.
Kimberly D. Canipe, 47, of New Holland, PA, has now been charged with Driving Under the Influence following a traffic stop for erratic driving. Police say while speaking with Canipe officers observed an open beer can on the floor. They also say Canipe exhibited signs of impairment and was subsequently arrested.
Upon return of chemical testing yielding a blood alcohol level of of 0.154%, almost double the legal limit authorities say a criminal complaint was filed.
West Sadsbury Police in Chester County arrested Capipe in May 2016 and charged Caipe with DUI with a blood alcohol level above .16. Those charges were dismissed following the completion of an Accelerated Rehabilitation Program in July 2017.
In 2015 Pennsylvania State Police, also in Chester County, arrested Canipe for possession of marijuana and other drug related charges the district attorney later reduced in a plea agreement.
