East Stroudsburg, PA

On December 10, 2018 at about 6:40PM the Stroud Area Regional Police were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot located in East Stroudsburg Borough following  multiple 911 calls reporting that there was a disturbance and a firearm was discharged. It was also reported that the suspects were fleeing the scene as the officers were responding.

Responding officers say they observed persons leaving the area that matched the limited descriptions that were provided by callers and stopped some of those individuals.

As the investigation began police say they believe  a disturbance occurred within a group of individuals and during an ensuing argument,  Aaron L. Scott, a 27 year old East Stroudsburg resident, pulled out a firearm and fired 2 shots, at which time the group dispersed and ran off in various directions.

Police say they recovered the firearm involved and determined Scott  fired the shots. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

A Warrant has been issued for Scott and he is charged with the following charges:
• Aggravated Assault (F1)
• Simple Assault (M2)
• Recklessly Endangering Another Person (M2)
• Persons not to possess a Firearm (F2)

The final charge suggests Scott has a criminal history, The Pennsylvania Chronicle has not been able to find a criminal history in Pennsylvania.
