On Sunday, November 4, 2018 authorities in Susquehanna Township say at just before 1am traffic stop was made at the intersection of N. Progress Ave. and Nationwide Dr. As the officer made contact with the driver and passenger of the vehicle and immediately the smell of marijuana was detected coming from the car.
Police say the occupants were removed from the vehicle and searched and the vehicle was then searched. Authorties allege the passenger, Samuel Velazquez was found to be in possession of a small amount of suspected marijuana. The officer then searched the vehicle and allegedly located a four sandwich baggies containing suspected Heroin, approximately 23 bundles of wax paper baggies for packaging of heroin and a digital scale.
Police say Velazquez advised them the drugs and paraphernalia were his and as a result Velazquez was arrested and charged with Possession with Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance, Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Small Amount of Marijuana and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Velazquez was transported to the Dauphin County Booking Center for processing and arraignment. He is currently in Dauphin County Prison. Bail information is not currently available for this suspect.
