On Friday, December 7, 2018 police say at approximately 5:35PM the Susquehanna Township Police Department was dispatched to domestic situation on the 2200 block of Forster ST in the township.
Officers say they spoke with the victim who said her ex-boyfriend grabbed her by her arms and repeatedly slammed her into a door. The woman told police she was able to escape and was followed in her home by the suspect where he continued the assault by throwing the victim on the ground, into a wall and finally onto a couch. According to the victim the suspect then placed his knee on the victim’s chest and held her down against her will for several minutes eventually allowing the victim off the couch and and fleeing the scene.
A warrant was obtained for Amir White charging him with Simple Assault and Unlawful Restraint. White was taken into custody at his place of employment the next day.
He was taken to the Dauphin County Booking Center for processing and arraignment and was released on $10,000 unsecured bail. White faces a preliminary hearing December 20, 2018 at 10:45am before District Justice James A. Lenker.
The 25 year old White was arrested in 2015 for charges relating to Driving Under the Influence and saw those charges dismissed following successful completion of an Accelerated Rehabilitation program
