New Holland, PA

On December 18, 2018 at approximately 12:08am New Holland Police say  officers stopped a vehicle in the 500 Block of East Main Street in New Holland Borough for having a brake light out.

The driver of the vehicle was identified as Jeremy Michael Oatman, age 42 of Lancaster.  During the course of the stop authorities say they discovered that Oatman was in possession of drug paraphernalia commonly associated with methamphetamine.

Police charged Oatman with one count of Possession of Drug Paraphernalia the following day and Oatman was arrested Saturday December 29, 2018.

Earlier this year Oatman started a GoFundMe page seeking $1,000 saying, “I am in desperate need of help to get back on my feet and start my life over. I’ve given many years of my life on an illegal sentence and can not sue for the time that was stolen from me. Family and friends have helped as much as possible but their is so much more I need to start over.”

No contributions were made to the account.

Oatman served a 3 to 6 year sentence for sex crimes involving a juvenile after a 2005 arrest. In 2014 Oatman was arrested for Fail to Verify Address/Be Photographed, a requirement of being a convicted sex offender, for which a plea was negotiated that saw Oatman sentenced to an additional 3 to 6 years in prison.
