Purse, credit card stolen in Columbia after woman leaves them in car overnight

Columbia, PA

On September 23, 2019, at approximately 6:40 am the Columbia Borough Police Department responded to the 300 block of North Second Street for a vehicle break-in not in progress.  Upon arrival the officer spoke with the victim who said she had parked her 2006 Lincoln Zephyr in the 200 block of Maple Street the evening before and that her purse was taken during the overnight hours.  The told police her wallet, which had several credit cards inside, was missing.  She further stated that someone had attempted to use her ATM card to withdraw money at an ATM on Chestnut Street.
