The West Hempfield Township Police Department is currently investigating two recent robberies and are asking for your help to identify the suspect.

On Friday, December 21, 2018, at about 10:15 PM, the West Hempfield Township Police Department says officers responded to a robbery at the Speedway Market  located at 1792 Columbia AVE in  Columbia. Officers learned that a black male pictured in the attached captured surveillance footage had removed an undisclosed amount of cash from the open cash register. Officers learned that the suspect fled west on Columbia AVE. toward Prospect RD in a black Ford SUV pictured on this page.

Later on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at 1215 AM at the Turkey Hill Market  located at 1199 Prospect RD in Columbia Officers  say they believe the  same black male from the Speedway robbery had stole an undisclosed amount of cash from the store’s open register.

Officers say the man left the store and got into a black Ford Explorer possibly a 2002-2005 XL model described as having a grey front and rear bumper, (No fog lights), grey trim along the bottom, with grey running boards.

There was no weapon displayed by the suspect during the robberies, and there were no reported injuries police say.
