Motorcyclist seriously injured in crash in West Lampeter Township on Gypsy Hill Road

Lampeter, PA

On Saturday October 05, 2019, at 10:55PM, West Lampeter Township Police Department were dispatched for an accident involving a motorcycle and a rider down in the roadway in the area of 1230 Gypsy Hill Road. Officers arrived to find a single motorcycle crash and a single rider suffering from multiple serious injuries. The extent of the injuries the rider sustained caused several bystanders and emergency crews to engage in life-saving measures at the scene. The rider a 32-year-old white male, was transported to Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital in critical condition.

West Lampeter Township Police Department conducted an on-scene investigation that caused the roadway to be closed for several hours. The roadway was re-opened at 2am on October 06, 2019, and say the cause of the crash is still under investigation. The West Lampeter Township Police is asking anybody that was in the area at the time of the incident or that may be able to provide additional information to contact the West Lampeter Township Police at 717-464-2421.

Police are not identifying the victim at this time.
