Lancaster man arrested for alleged stalking

Lititz, PA

The Lititz Borough Police Department  (LBPD) says it arrested Richard James Lapham VI, aged 24, of Lancaster and charged him with Stalking (Domestic Violence), Possession with Intent to Manufacture or Deliver, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Possession of a Controlled substance.

On January 23, 2019 at around 11:55pm, police say an officer on patrol noticed a suspicious vehicle on West Marion Street in Lititz according to police.

Authorities say the officer discovered the vehicle belonged to a relative of Lapham and knew Lapham was recently arrested for a domestic violence incident less than a block away.  Officers stopped to check on the vehicle after it continued to drive around the area.

Police say they discovered Lapham was the occupant of the vehicle and due to the circumstances, he was taken into custody for Stalking.  Officers then discovered drug paraphernalia on Lapham’s person and inside his vehicle.  A further search of the vehicle revealed over 80 grams of Marijuana, heroin and Amphetamine pills police allege.

Lapham was transported to Central Booking for possessing and arraignment.  Lapham was arraigned by District Court Judge Sheller and committed to Lancaster County prison in lieu of $150,000 dollars bail.
