Budha Gurung, 34, gets 5-10 years for getting 16 year old drunk, sexually assaulting victim in Lancaster

A Lancaster man will serve at least five years in prison for providing malt liquor to a 16-year-old girl then sexually assaulting her at his city home. Budha Gurung, 34, pleaded guilty to rape, sexual assault, and related charges for the March 10 incident. Lancaster County Court of Common Pleas President Judge Dennis Reinaker sentenced Gurung to 5 to 10 years in prison, in accordance with a plea agreement.

Assistant District Attorney Fritz Haverstick said Gurung, an acquaintance of the girl’s family, was to be driving the girl to her home.  Instead, Gurung purchased Four Loko brand alcoholic beverages and drove the girl back to his home on North Queen Street. Gurung sexuallly assaulted the girl when she was intoxicated,  Haverstick said in court Wednesday.

Gurung is a green card holder and faces potential deportation to Nepal.
