Man arrested in Lititz for several warrants following traffic stop

Lititz, PA

On January 30, 2019 at 8:31am, the Lititz Borough Police say they arrested Jahod Sharif HILL, aged 27, of Lancaster, on several outstanding warrants. 

Police say Hill was taken into custody after the vehicle he was driving was stopped for a traffic violation and will was transferred to the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office to await further legal process.  No additional criminal charges will be filed as a result of this incident.

Court records indicate Sharif failed to pay fines stemming from  citations reaching back to 2014 and 2015. The “non-traffic” crimes include:

  • Open container in 2015, pleaded guilty
  • Dogs Running At Large Prohibited in 2014, pleaded guilty 
  • Dogs Running At Large Prohibited in 2014, pleaded guilty
  • Public Drunkenness And Similar Misconduct, pleaded guilty

Sharif was brought to Magisterial District Judge Adam J. Witkonis for a hearing at 10:15AM the same day for a hearing to determine whether or not he could pay his fines. The court determined he could not and closed the case. Sharif was subsequently released from custody.
