Anneville man charged with DUI, fleeing and eluding police

Lancaster, PA

At  2:15AM Sunday, February 3, 2019 on Schoolhouse Road at Abbeyville Road Manheim Township Police say Thomas Richard Kreiser, 27 years old of Annville  was charged following an attempted traffic stop for erratic driving.

Police say when when the officer activated the emergency lights on the patrol vehicle, Kreiser refused to pull over and continued driving. Authorities further allege after the officer activated the siren on the patrol vehicle, Kreiser increased his speed and fled from the officer. Police say the officer did not engage in a pursuit of Kreiser.

Moments later, the authorities say the officer heard tires screeching and discovered that Kreiser had crashed into mailbox in the 200 block of Schoolhouse Road. Kreiser was found injured near the crash site and exhibited signs of impairment according to the arresting officer.

Kreiser was arrested and refused to submit to chemical testing. He was processed and taken to Lancaster County Central Arraignment.
