Henry Mason Tate, 43 of Harrisburg, was arraigned Tuesday December 182018, for the alleged sexual assault of a 17-year-old that occurred in November. He was charged with Aggravated Indecent Assault Without Consent, Rape Forcible Compulsion, Sexual Assault, Unlawful Contact with Minor – Sexual Offenses, and Corruption of Minors.
Authorities charged Tate following an incident that occurred on November 26, 2018. The victim met the suspect outside of City Gas at 1541 State Street after her vehicle was stolen. The male offered to help her out but instead took her back to a residence and sexually assaulted her.
Tate was arrested in 2016 for Harassment and felony Aggravated Assault. The felony charge dropped last year and Tate pleaded no contest to the remaining charge for which he was not fined.
The defendant has a preliminary hearing before Magisterial District Judge David on January 7, 2019.
