The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture’s Bureau of Food Safety and Laboratory Services conducted an unannounced retail food inspection on 2/19/2020 in their food safety . As a result of that inspection the school was cited for 4 violations. It’s notable this is an  “in compliance” inspection despite the presence of vermin found by the inspector.

The inspector made the following comments in support of the violations found during the inspection:

    • Reach in cooler does not have an internal thermometer.
    • Food facility inspection indicates evidence of rodents/insect activity in kitchen area. Observed one insect in the pit area for the soup kettle. Observed 15 rodent-like droppings on floor areas in facility.
    • Static dust and webbing accumulations present between cook line equipment.
    • Man doors at dock are not tight-fitting.
