On Thursday, August 22, 2019, at approximately 4:44 PM officers from the Shippensburg Police Department say they were dispatched to an apartment at 304 North Fayette Street for a report of a domestic, reported a male subject beating on a female.

Police say officers arrived and spoke to a witness.  The witness advised the male subject took an adult female and seven year old child, making them get into a vehicle.  Through the investigation police say they were able to identify the subjects involved and learned that Kelvin Mojica-Reyes, was served with a Protection From Abuse Order (PFA) on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in Franklin County.  The PFA was issued through Franklin County and protected the adult female and child.  The order stated the suspect was not to have any contact with either victim.

An AMBER ALERT was activated for the victims.

Later that evening both victims were found unharmed.  The suspect was taken into custody by Pennsylvania State Police Chambersburg.

The suspect was turned over to the Shippensburg Police Department, and he was transported to the Cumberland County Booking Center to be arraigned on the following charges: Kidnapping, Burglary, Criminal Trespass, Unlawful Restraint, False Imprisonment and Simple Assault.  The suspect has since been arraigned and was denied bail.  Mojica-Reyes has been committed to the Cumberland County Prison.
