On March 8, 2019, at 5:26PM, Lower Allen Police say they were dispatched to the Weis Market for a non-active retail theft of Dove products. Loss Prevention reported the retail theft occurred on February 28, 2019, between 11:07PM and 11:15PM.
On February 28, 2019, around 11:04 PM hours, the suspects arrived in the parking lot in a black 4 door sedan. The two male suspects entered the store just after the main entrance doors were locked. One suspect, a middle-aged black male wearing a black jacket with an orange hood, black beanie hat, dark pants, and black Nike sneakers pushed in a cart and asked questions of a female employee, distracting her.
Meanwhile, the other suspect, a shorter middle-aged white male with glasses, wearing a black North Face jacket, black beanie hat, light colored jeans and black boots with a gray camouflage Nike backpack, selected several items of Dove soap.
After this suspect finished his selection, the second suspect made selections in the same aisle for more Dove soap products. Both suspects exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The total loss between both suspects was $168.34. Both suspects leave in the same black 4 door sedan around 11:15 hours.
Loss Prevention advised police that several Weis Market stores seem to be hit right around the time the main entry doors are locked at night.
