Infant death investigation in Swatara Township

Harrisburg, PA

On Monday, October 21, 2019, at approximately 12:40 a.m. the Swatara Police and LifeTeam EMS were dispatched to the Marriott Townhouse Suites at 450 Friendship Road for an unresponsive infant.  Police say officers found that an eight-month-old infant was in cardiac arrest and initiated CPR.  The infant was transported to the Harrisburg Hospital Emergency Room where he died shortly after arrival. 

The Swatara Township Police and Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office are participating in this investiation as well as Dauphin County Children and Youth Services.
